Q: The 2025 Council Elections have come and gone what are the lessons we have learnt so far?
A: Yes the 2025 Council Elections have come and gone we have all tested our popularity and competence and also acquire more political experience in the process.
However we need to identified the supremacy of the Party and exercises the spirit of sportsmanship and further work in hand with the emerged candidate so that the people will continue to have access to dividends of democracy.
Q: Are you ready to support the emerge Council Chairman?
A: Yes I am still a member of APC and I will continue to support my Party in all ramifications, governance is not run by one person it has to be a collective efforts, people of like mind.
I am ready to provide my professional advice where necessary in a bid to ensure that the people have access to dividends of democracy, I strongly believe he is well prepared for the job, he has a blue print that will have direct impact on the people and what we need to do is to support him in his policy formation and implementation.
Good governance entails all inclusiveness and you will agree with me, we need to engage all critical stakeholders in the Local Government for optimal growth to be actualised. However I am ready to provide selfless service in any capacity.
Q: What are your recommendations to professionals like you outside there who believes that Nigerian politics is a dirty game?
A: To me, politics is not a dirty game, it is a game at which you pursue your goals, dreams and also add value to the society. Politics have different meanings to people, different definitions.
I am a student of Political Science and I believe politics is a process at which you influence the decision of people and there is different between politics and governance. Politics is a political process while governance is an act of administration of resources for the betterment of the citizenry which require some professional expertise.
Nigerian politics is not dirty, it is only some people that makes it dirty, to me I play politics with maturity and not to accumulate wealth, so my wealth of experience in the private sector is an added advantages.
My recommendations to professionals out their is that they should join active politics to improve the economy of the country.
Politics is not a do or die affairs there will always be a champion in any sport competition. What is required for the champion is to extend hands of friendship to those who win on the other side because two good heads are better than one and we need to always express the spirit of sportsmanship in all ramifications.
